I havn't looked through all the cooling forums to see if this has been posted before so please be nice.

I am looking to cut down on some of the noise from a Delta 38 'sink fan and a 120mm Sunon case fan. I would like to do this with rheostats.

Any information yall could give me as to where to buy and what size/type to get would be a great help.

Thank you

If your not comfortable making a rheostat yourself,
Sidewindercomouters (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/rheosformc.html) has a nice one for $10

Not sure if it comes with a Knob, but they are about .50 cents at Radio Shack

Just be sure you're not exceeding the rheostat's wattage rating (probably around 5W). I did that to mine and the inside of it literally melted.

I have one of those from sidewinder, and I am definately exceeding the wattage, still works, though...
