How do I get rid of the password?

How do I get rid of that password prompt that comes up whenever I start Win98SE? TIA

If it's the same as 98FE (first edition) then go to Network Neighborhood, right click and then click on properties. From there make sure your Primary Network Logon is set to "Windows Logon". I think that's all you need to do. I haven't had that problem for a while so I can't remember completely.

Thanks, that kinda did it...I needed a little more, I need the Windows family logon, same sort of thing...now it works, thanks....:)

I got rid of mine by "Deleting" the *.PWL file (password file)

Start (lol), Find, File ....*.PWL [DELETE!]

Tweak UI can help with this and other little mods. Does'nt come with 98SE but is available on the internet and works just fine under 98SE.

If it's windows logon pass, then go to the control panel, got to change passowd, put you old 1 , and for new dont put anything, Ok, the restart you comp. Good luck :)
