Got me an 8500 yesterday :D

Initial tests are favourable I must admit. Although I'm not overly impressed with Smoothvision in it's current implementation. Overall IQ doesn't seem much different from normal Radeon either, possibly slightly better colour saturation.

On the plus side, I currently have a score of 7744 (http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?2080836) in 3dMark2001 (this is subject to change! :D)

Runs great up to 295/295 too (need better cooling methinks).

Congrats, I just got a Radeon 32MB (PCI), and i'm so impressed. I can't imagine what your beast is doing, and Red gets your old card huh, sounds like a plan. Isn't Aberdeen,Scotland where "Speed Racer" is from? :burn:

only the first four tests count in the 3dmark score.....the rest are just synthetic benchies for you to see theoretical numbers...

the cards are take one test and give one ,I would say the cards are pretty on par with each other ,but if you run all the test you will probably take a larger lead on me.

Actually, SpeedRacer is an anime from about a zillion years ago. Its name in Japan was Mach GoGoGo! I believe.

Wildone I didn't run all the tests because as stated, only the first 4 calculate the score. But I'll run 'em all tonight and we can compare then :D

I bought his old 64Meg DDR Radeon from him, and I use the same program.....

The supplier I normally buy from over here has started selling unlocked XPs :D

Also there should be a new ATi driver this week, so I'm hoping for a bit of an increase there.

But I'm gonna try some more tweaking tonight.
