Ok so I know it's backwards compatible, is that each and every gamecube game? I assume it is since it's running on the same architecture as cube.

yes, nintendo already confirmed that the wii will be 100% backwards compatable. it will play ever Gamecube game without a problem.

However, you can only use Gamecube controllers when playing Gamecube games. You cannot use the Wiimote or the Classic controller.

I'm glad I kept my wavebird then. Hopefully it will fit physically.

no problem I was just thinking if I get one I can toss the cube onbay then...which will probably see an influx of cubes probably lucky if I get 10 bucks for it heh oh well.

Heh... You'd be lucky to get ten bucks for it NOW. Paris is absolutely flooded with used Gamecubes. If there was any game that I wanted to play on Gamecube then I'd probably already have one. Your best bet would be to make some kind of package deal with the cube, both Metroid Primes and Resident Evil 4.

well, if i remember right, gamestop/EB games will pay like 30 bucks in credit for a GameCube.

it would be a little more than what you'd get out of Ebay, and probably faster too.

It will fit perfectly. Robert Summa over at destructoid.com has had his Wii for about 4 days or so, and has been shooting video of everything he does with it. He put the Wavebird's sensor into the controller port on the Wii with no problems at all.
