Well I think it's possible to have a network with 2 wireless cards without an access point, but I'm not sure on that. Wireless can easily do 20-30 meters, I think the max is 100 meters.
In the worst case you'll have to buy an access point and 2 cards, not sure of the UK price, but in the US it's about $50-$100 for a cheap card and around $100-$150 for an access point. Of course the more money you spend the high quality you're going to have, like the $50 cards onnly have 64bit encryption apposed to the 128bit the better cards have. Also makre sure it say WIFI on the card, that's a standard for wireless so you know they'll all play nice together.

Nice haircut btw :)
excellent so hopefully no access point - i saw prices of £300 which is a LOT, excellent.
oh another thing the aerial tihngy - obviously the transmitters will be sticking out of a hole in the window - so you ca get extensions? I have my PC in a room not facing the other house - i was thinking that there might be an extension that i could run to the window...
as for encryption nto too bothered realyl we live in wales and the people here aer waaaaay too thick to even know how to use a PC so yeah basically wed use it for sharing an ADSL connection (expensive here £40), and probably a little file sharing. not a business or anything :D
Any more advice i will be higly grateful for
thx guys!! gtg! :burn:
