What's ur set up consist of?
Great Job.
BTW : where in Phx?
WELCOME TO THE FORUMS:beer:
Nice O/C you got there. How did you accomplish that?

I am obviously missing something here. I don't even see a 1.4 in your attachment. I see an XP 1600+ running at 1.4 mhz, but that's it's rated speed, not overclocked.
I have an athlon 1.4 running at 1.538 and it's no big deal. All I had to do is change the multiplier from 10.5 to 11.5. That's all. And I'm using the HSF that came with the processor.

Those are the reference speeds. You use them to compare the speed of your current cpu setting.

ok. So which cpu is his 1400 at 1600? And why is that such a great overclock? I got my 1400 to run at 1538 with minimal effort

The very top. You both have great overclocks. I always thought of the 1.4's being stubborn. Always having to pump massive voltage to get them over 1.6+.

Gee, it helps if I actually read the writing. I see the reference cpu thing now. My other 1.4 is not overclocked because there are multiplier settings in the bios on that board. It's a Shuttle AK12a. Wish I could o/c it.

Multiplier set at 12.0
512 megs of pc2100 DDR
Voodoo3 3000 with 16 megs of Hundai memory overclocked and
stable @200Mhz
Thats about it.
I wish I had time to get a better system.:)
Oh yeah,

What's your core voltage? Did you have to increase it? When I tried multiplier 12 and 12.5, I had to increase the core voltage and it still wasn't stable. I didn't play with it very long though.

I have my voltage set to auto in the bios.
It set it at 1.80

Yep, that's default. Did you have to unlock the cpu? I didn't have to do anything to mine.

I didn't think you had to unlock the 1400:eh?:

Apparently not. I didn't have to. But I've read that some 1400's you do.
