Aight, after making music in Acid pro3.0, I do my editing and effects in Sound Forge5.0. But after I burn the songs to a disk, There is a pop noise at the beginning and sometimes at the end when it's played on a stereo. (I tried "normalizing" it as well) It's like someone is flicking a hot mic.
I've got Sound Forge Noise reduction on the way. Do you think that will help? Or have any other ideas on what's causing that?

Thanks.

Bump.

There has to be some Sound rangers in here...:)

do you have the sample rate and bit depth set the same for each program? are you transferring over a digital line? if transferring over a digital line you need to sync with the program. it doesn't seem like noise reduction would work because you'd render your audio file then still transfer it to cd. (if the problem is in the transfer) also try increasing the buffering under tools>preferences. this helps reduce pops and clicks by using more of your sytem ram. be careful though if you increase buffering too far it can cause pops and clicks. also check to see if your swapfile is being used. it should be set from about 2-3 times the amount of ram you have, both minimum and maximum. or disable virtual memory altogether if you have enough ram. if the swapfile kicks in you will hear pops and clicks. also check and see if the sampling rate and bit depth of your apps is the same as your sound card, i.e. 16/44.1, 24/48 etc. it's hard to tell if the noise is occuring during recording or during playback. do you hear the pops while you play directly from soundforge? also remember overclocking is bad for audio! try going to default cpu speed if overclocked and resetting your ram. also kill all non-essential background apps while doing audio editing, they can also interfere. that's all i can think of off the top of my head, good luck!

Yes.

Ihave yet to try that.

That looks good to me.

No. It's while I'm playing it in a stereo, between songs. The music is all digital though, it never goes analog.

BTW, Thanks for the ideas, I appreciate it.
