Flashing a Speedstream 5260

I have a Speedstream 5260 and i was wondering if there is a way to make it a router also.

This note was on their website regarding flashing that specific modem:

SpeedStream 5260 Firmware Warning

We have received information requests about upgrading the 5260's firmware by using the kernel file from another Efficient Networks product.

This will not work. Do not use the part number of your 5260 as proof of any ability to be upgraded. If you choose to attempt any such upgrade, your 5260 will become unusable and will not be covered under warranty.

Support will not be provided to users who attempt any such upgrade.

It works and it works fine. I have 3 of them on the shelf. There is only one place left to get the firmware and instructions on how to do this.
