I am not overclocking my 7900GT, but ever since I installed the latest drivers, I get a black flickering screen, and then automatic reboots. It happens about 4 times in a 2 hour span when I play UT2k4. Anyone else having this problem? I'm trying to find out if the issue is with the drivers or something else.
Thanks!

I run dual display, and my second screen flickers all the time, even when i'm not gaming.

I always get flickering in dual monitor with any drivers.
And latest drivers have more problems then fixes, majority of people have better luck with Beta drivers.

check out the memory clock on a lil ol 7800gt! WOW this must be like some kinda record or something!
stock its reporting 470/2.2ghz and that in the pic is detecting optimal frequencies.

Nvidia must be trying to increase sales of its gf8 series by frying everyones cards with nasty drivers...

I had some problems with the newest drivers with my GX2, OC wise. I got higher clox with older drivers.

funny thing is that I am not even overclocking the card...I dont even have Coolbits installed. I'll have to install Coolbits to see if its reporting higher than stock speeds. Is it possible to unistall the new drivers and re-install older drivers? If so, which drivers are recommended?

Now that you mention it, I think i have had screen flickering with my 7900GT with any drivers. My 6600GT never used to do it though *shrugs*

well the new driver that was showing my memory at 2.2ghz was actually running the memory at 2.2ghz, i was playing some games mostly Live for speed and it would run smooth but every once in a while it would start to freeze up and then play smooth again. i tried playing BF2 and got nothing but studder and really really bad artifacts, i tried setting everything to default but it still saw my memory at a stock 2.0ghz. i ended up having to reinstall winders to fix the problem. so something with the new driver was running my lil ol 7800gt waay outta spec.

It cant run it out pf spec, specially not at 2.2Ghz. Its a bug in Beta drivers. Use other drivers instead.
96.89 or 91.63 are good drivers.

well it was running it way out of spec,i mean corruption on screen sometimes on desktop and definitely in games, so something was running waay to dang fast, but o well its fixed.

Honestly.. do you think its even possible to run memory on your card at 2.2Ghz in the first place?? Even if you used LN2 to cool it
No, its not. Its a bug in the drivers and bad drivers to begin with that caused problems. You weren't the only one to have that problem.

The 93.71 drivers knocked about 300 points off my 3dmark'05 score at stock speeds. I'm switched back to the older drivers and I'll see how much my CO'd scores/OCability go up:D
*Edit: Definately noticing a huge improvement with the old drivers (I've actually never oc/d my video card before yesterday, and that's when I installed the new drivers and ran all my benchies).

I got the screen flicker with the 7950GX2 and now, with the 8800GTX. Also get little green pixel flashes on half the screen on monitor two. Could be the monitor shooting craps tho.
