I have a Dell XPS R450 that came with a 450MHz Pentium 2. I just put a P3 600MHz in, but it's recognizing it as a Pentium Pro 500MHz. Any ideas how to fix this? I can't find any jumpers on the motherboard for it, or anything else.

Is that what it reads in POST or Windows?

If that is what POST shows and it is booting Windows then see what CPU-Z reads it as. My Sony VAIO shows "Pentium Pro 450" during POST although CPU-Z reads it (correctly) as a Pentium III running at 466 MHz.

Updated BIOS to A13 (latest) right before I put it in. Haven't installed an OS on this thing yet...

installed win2k and CPU-Z shows it as a 600e (which is what it is)... stupid BIOS...
