Well for school , Im thinking of getting the Dell XPS1210. Its small, powerful, and has great battery life and I will be getting the extended package.

However Id like to be able to use a real monitor for when Im in the dorm doing some cad work or whatever. Will the dell do resolutions for a Dell 20 or 24" widescreen externally ?

I thought Id ask,

Ryan

I've allready looked into it because I'm planning on getting a XPS1210 myself :D and I allready have a 24" screen. I've checked and it's compatable.

I'm not sure what resolution the 20" runs at but the 24" runs at 1920x1200

Thanks Ozzlo,

If you get yours before me, dont be shy to do some testing! I couldnt find any information on their site pertaining to external resolutions.

Yea, I was a lil iffy about that with my laptop, but then I went to the properties and checked the supported res and it should run it well, so im sure the XPS will be able to run a 20/24" fine
