need help with command line cheats

okay this is what the website says

Return to Castle Wolfenstein


Start the game with the command-line parameter '+set sv_cheats 1'. Then
during gameplay, press ~ to bring down the console. Now type any of the
following "Codes":
Code Effect
/god God Mode
/notarget Enemies Don't Attack
/noclip No Clipping Mode
/give all All Weapons and Ammo
/mapname Get the Current Map Name
/spdevmap mapname Jump to mapname
/give armor Give Armor
/give health Give Health
/give stamina Give Stamina



but when i go to do that in the game it says cheats not enabled on this server... what the heck if it lets me bring down the thingy by using the "~" button shouldn't the cheats work as well??

If its at all like Half-Life then you have to change to another map or reload the game after putting in the sv_cheats 1 command. Until then the codes wont work.

well where am i sappossed to put +set sv_cheats?? right now i have it in the icon thingy and i can pull down the thing ~ in the game but it says cheats not enabled on this server.. im playing single player.. whats am i doing wrong??

I had the same problem, You have to start a game,
then save your game,exit out,restart with your saved game,then run the cheats.

all ya gotta do is add that line (+set sv_cheats 1) to the target in the shortcut for wolfenstein. Then when your in the game just pul down the menu with ~ and type the cheats. (/god god mode, etc.) :D

well for some reason it still won't work with my special version of RTCW.. next week im going to bestbuy to buy the game....

You're not trying to enable cheats on a multiplayer server, are you? Of course that's not going to work.....

just had to ask, sorry if it's an insultingly dumb question:)

where in the target line for the shortcut do i add the
+set sv_cheats 1?? i tried putting it in there and it says "the name "+sets" specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct."

The target in your shortcut should look something like this:
"C:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\WolfSP.exe" "+ set sv_cheats 1" :D
