Got my new SK6

DAMN is this thing LOUD!!! I didn't think it would be this loud!!!

But I do like the fact that it dropped my idle temps from 113 to 95.

Pretty freaking sweet.

Well I guess I'm off to the shack to get a reostat.

I'll let ya know how it goes. I might make a custom connector too that way I won't have to chop up the one that's on it.

dude, im getting those temps full load with the cpu you see below, and i only have a thermoengine HSF....id try reseating the thing and reapply/apply AS2...just an idea though

well I acctually put it on wrong the first time!!! DOH!!!! The temps were higher than that but lower than normal. I"ll have to check and see if the fan is blowing or sucking.

That's the only thing it could be.

Yeah, but you're using the Thermoengine, which tends to cool the thermistor more.

Here (http://www.overclcokers.com/tip507) is a good article on why the insocket thermistor isn't accurate.

ive checked my temp monitor and its exactly right, i borrowed my friends theremometer thing and they were exactly the same so it has to be right......and the motherboard temp is most likely right even though i dont know where the thermister is on the board...oh well, the cpu temp is right though
