I got my new Alpha PEP66 with 72w pelt on it... I decided to up the FSB to 120, and it posted but no windows. I then decresed it to 118 and now it doesn't boot at all. No BIOS beeps. I've umplugged it and used the Clear CMOS jumper, no effect. It's sitting unplugged with the BIOS battery out now, is it possible I killed my Celery?? It's no big deal... I RMA'd a PIII 1G back to them for a defective L2 Cache and they say they'll replace it, so I should have another shortly, but is the Celery dead???

99% sure about that, I decided pull the video card to see if I'd get the 4 beeps you normally get with that... sure enough, it did make the 4 beeps. Pretty sure it isn't the mobo. Oh well, it was $23 on eBay, I guess I'm not that upset.

Hopefully you didn't hurt that chip. That was one hell of an overclock (58%).:burn:

Well the oc was %72!! not %58.
What voltage were you running at?
Yesterday I was able to load windows@115 and I got some
Sandra benchies( I'm doing all this with the intel-box hsf).
But when I tried 120 fsb @1,95 V it booted but couldn't load
windows.

It is (or possibly was) a cCo Celery 600... running at 1.95. That was on a Gorb, yesterday I got the PEP66 with the pelt and tried 120... it POSTed but no winblows, so I backed it to 118 and it didn't do anything. :(

Well, I put the CPU battery in, plugged in the comp, and still nothing. I went so far as to put another 300W PS I had here on the pelt alone thinking maybe it was using more juice than the current 300W PS could take... no help there. Though, the fan on the other PS didn't run, so that makes me wonder.

I decided to fart around with it a bit... pulled components, had an extra PCI video card around here, so I decided to plug that in... IT WORKED. It's fine now! It's the vid card...
