Not that this is anything new to anyone here but here they are.

Nice i say try pushing is a little more what is you multipier and fsb at... My setup

1600+ running at 2000+ 13X135fsb 16c with 156watt pelter and z4 waterblock 1.75 voltage not much more and still stable i love XP's

Well I did try more but it will not finish loading XP. It gets to the welcome screen and just hangs when I try 1900+. Any chance I may not have unlocked it correctly? I can run it at 10.5, 11, 11.5, and on 12 it posts fine but hangs on welcome screen in XP. Thanks.

well try a little more voltage i have mine set to 1.75 for core and 2.75 for ddr i have system at 13x by 135fsb how did U unlock the chip I used glue to fill in the gaps i did a couple of layers to make sure it was filled then i traced the lines and after that dried i add a little more glue over the traces to keep them from going anywhere Don't know if it will help but i also filled all the dip on the hole cpu i didn't want any conductive ink going anywhere. well if U have a 13 optin for Multipler i put it on that raise the voltage till it stables out ...

Same problem with my xp 1700 runnin WinXP. Sometimes I get an error stating that a file is missing, always a different one, other times it just locks up with a blue screen, alwasy posts fine though. Only happens when I go higher than 1.64 Ghz. Havent bothered to try it with win98. Curious if it may have something to do with core voltage, because the same thing happens wether Im Oc'in by raising the fsb or the multiplier with fsb norm at 133. Started a new thread just a min ago discussing the safe limit for pumping up the core voltage, tis scary to go too high :)

its only scare if U don't have enought cooling to cool that bad boy down.. and also If U don't know what U are doing then I suggest U read somemore on overclocking before U do it... Winxp has backdoors on it also is not very stable I have same problem when i had xp running.. I went back to win2000pro and it sloved my problem... hope U didn't pay for Xp LOL not worth it..:burn:

Yeah, those PR attribs sucketh....why not just say MHz? Everybody knows a 1600mhz p4 would get it's @$$ handed to it by a 1.6mhz xp!

Actually I dont think everyone knows that Amd chips kick Intel all to hell and back, and many people dont bother to research such stuff. And I cant remember the last OS that I actually paid $ for, just maybe 30 pennies for the cdr, hehe.

In my limited benchmarking experience the AMD will rock Intel's socks off....but yeah, I'm no scientist, I just play games.

You mean you burned the CD because you were making a LEGAL BACKUP of some CORRECTLY REGISTERED software, right? Yep, thought so...:p

any one who is dumb enought to pay for any software let them pay... as for me i will never... The computer world and the internet should be FREE... INformation is FREE AND NOW THEY ARE GOING TO TRY TO TAX THE NET... They DO that ALL I SEE Is more PEOPLE DOing what most of us already do...

why does the government want to start taxing the net cuz they realize that most of us don't play for software and we don't care... computers hardware fine, pay for it but software that it on the net and you are able to download should not be charge, You already pay for the connections to get online U pay for power to turn on the computers you pay for the computer... that all they want is money... Well Its all a scam the government just wants to charge us for everything, Why not just charge us for breathing the air. you never know They might just start doing that in the next 25 to 50 yrs... :mad: its all about the money... if it wasn't about money and more about technology then maybe we could solve most of the problems in the world and start a new goal for the world like planet survive... :eh?: how did I get to saving the planet I really have to smoking... You might wanna include some smilies in there to show that you're joking...kinda hard to convey emotion with text.

Overall, this thread heading in the wrong direction. Discussing the validity of payment for software isn't really appropriate in this particular thread. If you really have a hankering to talk about it, go post in debates.

If it continues in this line I'm going to close the thread...or maybe delete a lot of the stuff. Your choice. :)

Oh yeah, and the discussion of anything other than the validity of it is not allowed.

1600+ overclocked to 2000+ running at 17.8 load and 14.5 idle..
2000+ = 13x135fsb= 1755MHZ sorry PR# AGAIN LOL
