Is it possible to ping for speed?
My city gives WiFi to anybody that can get it. I love it! I paid over $50 plus for service. Now I pay $0! :santa:

ping for speed? well in the cmd (command prompt) type ping www.google.com That will give you your latency, for the most part. I find pinging google gives me a good idea. As for finding speed, try dslreports.com/speedtest or bandwidth.com.

Google
might have been me.
Google doesn't block pings like some websites might. But as a limitation to this free WiFi you might have limited capabilities, as in no ping, telnet, tracert, etc. For the most part though most users wouldn't know or care.
