The Fry's in my area is offering the following today.

MSI NEO3 mobo
Core2 Duo E6400
2gigs (2x1) OCZ "Gold" DDR2 667mhz

For a price that is lower than anything I see on pricewatch or froogle.

My question is: How good of a motherboard/processor/ram combo is this for overclocking?

Thanks in advance

MB/Proc combo: 275 (260 after mail-in rebate) Motherboard
Ram: 200 (150 after mail-in rebate) RAM

And I am in the Phoenix Area

{EDIT 1: Corrected link to motherboard}

According to MSI, that motherboard does not support that cpu yet. If you click on the cpu support link on the motherboard main page, all the c2d and quads show NONE. That means they are testing it and with MSI, it could be years before that changes. I've watched them before.

So maybe that is why it is such a good deal.

On another note, the 945 chipset was not originally on intels list of supported chipsets for the c2d. If it has been added, I didn't know. Maybe it has.

But the vendor not listing the cpu as supported yet, would make me wonder.
