I almost bit on a $279 6600+crap ECS board @ Fry's yesterday, but it was tray. :( B chip, tho Rat's proved that to pooop. Suppose I'll muddle along w/ my 6400's slightly less intimidating ewee.

My brother and I have been discussing over the phone (because we live in different states) building our newest system sometime in the near future for that last month or so. We got together for Thanksgiving and talk about it face to face. On Friday he told me he had ordered his parts. I thought about it for an hour or so, and decided that I too would order my parts.

So we both are getting pretty much the same stuff except he chose the Zalman 9700 CPU cooler and the Antec True Power Trio TP3-650; while I chose the Thermalright SI-120CPU cooler and OCZ GameXSteme 700 PSU. The rest of the hardware in my "New Build" signature is the same as his. We will have the same cpu, motherboard, ram, and a 150GB raptor HDD.

We both expect delivery on Thursday.

So, its been only 90min, so we expect results in 60min ;) Should give you roughly 30min to install and fire up the system hehe.

Man I was standing there thinking the same thing! I love/hate frys! Instead, I went with the $149 combo with the E6300. It's a tray CPU, but I have a heatsink from my E6600 that will work fine. :)

Stabiltiy isn't the only thing you can test for, performance might be of intrest ;)
