hey guys, i need a mobo decision here.

well, im trying to give someone some advice on a motherboard. its for an e6400

he basicly wants sli, and he doesn't want to spend 250 bucks on a motherboard. i don't think he'll be overclocking. so don't base your decision on that.


any suggestions?

Perhaps the ASUS P5NSLI? It uses the nForce 570 chipset which pretty much sucks for overclocking, but it's cheap and will definitely do SLI.

if you want sli + c2d you must get nvidia for good performance, no 680i is quite expensive you should look after (maybe wait) for a 650i.

im with bb on this one unless your friend can wait for 650i mobo. which we dont know at this point when they will be released.
