And my next trick is..........

An 80mm hole in the top of my case above the PSU, with an 80mm Sunon blowing in from the top. With an 80mm hole on top of the PSU case as well, it will be air cooled independantly of the case ventilation system.

I see a potential risk with gap between power supply and drive rack.
Right at the top, you'll have a very hot dead zone that might be a problem with high rpm drives or burners.
Might be an idea to leave the top bay empty and the blanking plate off, or else industrious chimney installation.

I don't suppose you've been suffering from the power supply crashing?

This is independant of my case mods. At the moment, there are two 80 mm fans (1 front, 1 rear).

I have another 5 80mm Sunons coming my way this weekend (swapped a 60mm Delta for a tube of Arctic Silver 2 - Cheers Violator!), so I plan to end up with some "extra" cooling all round.....:)
