Has anyone had any luck using a Glaciator or Glaciator II on an ST6? I'm going to be going with a Celly 1.2Gig as an Upgrade to my slowly dieing Duron 750, but I've got a Zalman CNPS-5000+ on it right now, 4 hole mount = no go on Socket 370.
Thanks for your help!
Peace

I think as long as you have a mediocre or higly decent copper HS on it you should be fine. I put a alpha 6035 on mine and it does quite well over stock.

The Glaciator and Glaciator 2, both alumnium and copper versions, are mounted via a standard lug clip. They are not mobo mounted HSF's. So they should both work on a socket 370 setup.

Right, I was saying my Zalman (which uses the 4 hole mount rather than socket lug mounting) wouldn't fit. When reading reviews of the Glaciator 2, it said "Designed for Socket A, but should fit on Socket370 providing there is enough clearance around the socket" so I'm more worried about that. Sorry I wasn't more clear about what I was asking. So yeah, my ACTUAL question is "Is there enough clearance around the socket on an Abit ST6 to put a Glaciator 2 on there?"
:D

I'm out:burn:

The new Glaciator 2 should work even better for Socket 370 mobos. Andy has cut away a 90 degree channel at the base of the heatsink (see attached) which actually allows more room for the sink to fit boards w/ tight capacitor setups.

I would wait a bit and see what the final results of testing are and see if Andy tests the sink on more socket 370 boards.

OK, cool cool, Thanks very much for the reply! :D Luckily, I've got a short time to wait before I order everything...
Thanks again!
