ASUS & X-Fi "issue"?

What is the supposed ASUS mobo + X-Fi sound card issue that I've heard about? Specifically, which X-Fi card does it relate to?

I was thinking about picking up an X-Fi XtremeMusic sound card, but I wanted to make sure there were no problems with it.

I'm using an X-Fi card on the P5W without any problems.

If I remember correctly, there may be issues with the 680i boards and some sound cards.

What issues are there with 680i boards and XFi? Because I am going to pick up a 680i board in a few days... and use an XFi with it.... Thanks.

I wasnt aware of any issues but I will let you know later this week when I put all this stuff together.

I'm not sure if this is the thread I'm thinking about or not, but it does mention some problems with sound on the 680 boards.

p5w dh deluxe and X-Fi Platinum using logitech THX z5300e 5.1 speaker system sounds AWESOME! No issues
