Via Chipsets / Sound-Blaster Conflicts

Am I alone in having problems with Soundblaster cards with Via Chipset?

Sorry about that struggling to post thread.

My Asus A7V266-E XP1600+ with soundblaster 1024 has not ben a happy combo. stuttering graphics, crackly, sound so I thought I would up grade to an Audigy. All the same probs. again I`ve done all possible bios./ pathces up dates you name it I`ve done it. So I took the card our & ran Mad Onion 2000 & got an improvement from 10.036 to 14910 (WOW)

Visited the Via site & there loads of un happy bunnies out there with simular probs.
The best advice I read was to use a Videologic Sonicfury sound card. So next day I exchanged the Audigy for the Sonicfury.
It went into my system like a duck to water. Great sound / smooth graphics.

Mad Onion 2000 - 14,651

Hope this helps any one out there who might be having simular probs.

I have a Asus A7V133 with 1007 bios update and a SB Audigy Platinum, everything is running fine. I even started recording my own tunes.

Uninstall Creative Playcentre, I spoke to a Via Engineer and if you are using Win XP and an Audigy this is what does it.
