Hi, all!
I have just purchased a darn Tbird 1200 which wont let my OC' it more than to 1260Mhz...
Setup:
Tbird 1200/266
Soltek SL-75DRV2 Kt266A
FOP-32 with Delta 60x38
1,82v and 2,21v Core 39 deg. idle @ 1211mhz
I can successfully post the CPU @ 1400Mhz (not tried higher) but not boot it.
Only thing I can think of here is that I only have 4,88v on my 5v line.
Any suggestions/comments anyone?

Welcome to the forums.
I bet its the PSU.
We do have a lovely AMD forum maybe you can find the answer there. I doubt you will find any info of the lowest PSU volts the chip can handle. But you will find out what PSUs taht are already in use in successful machines.
well...39 idle at stock speed seems a bit high. I'm unfamiliar with your heatsink, but that doesn't sound completely right. Make sure you have a good contact surface with your heatsink and cpu core. stick a little artcic silver II on there if there isn't any already.
At higher clock speeds, I bet you heat up pretty darn quickly. I'm idling at 37 with my glaciator and a 120mm duct --even lower now that it's friggin cold here (60 is cold).
If it ain't that, it very well could be the power supply. What kind of power supply do you have in there?
Oh, and welcome to the forums!
What build of 1.2 are you running? AXIA? ARJHA? wipe your thermal compound off the cpu die and there are 3 lines. Read the first letters of the second line.
I've got some ARGA 1ghz tbirds that max out at 1.15ghz.

That heatsink isn't going to allow you to do a whole lot of overclocking. It was a great heatsink for a time, but the 1ghz. plus TBird Really need a better heatsink. If you can post it then you are having probs with it overheating.
It sounds like your heatsink isn't seated good. I had the same one on a 1.2 and got it up to 1466 stable at 45C you may want to check and see if you have the clip on it the right way the movable part should be to the top of the board. A different HSF would be better but if that is all you have it will work until you can get something different. If I remember right that HSF comes with a thermal pad (a pink square on the bottom of it) it needs to be removed and thermal past applied instead. You would get more responses if this was posted in AMD cpu.
Welcom to the forums.

Well, I am quite confused myself over the CPU temp, 39 deg idle and 43 under full load, I have used Arctic Silver II and made sure that the CPU is properly seated.
Maybe the FOP32 HS doesnt do it's job even with a delta on it.
Anyway, I noticed today that at idle I have 4,85V on the 5V line and under full load 4,83V. So, I will probably to out and buy me an Enermax, now I have a no-name 300W psu.
Any suggestions on a good heatsink for my Delta?
Thnx m8e's

Thnx m8e's There are a lot of good fans out there. The Home page has some comparisons compiled by Joe that might help you make a good decision. You don't give the type of mobo so it's hard to suggest what I would consider a good choice ( Alpha 8045 or *Swiftech MC462* ) both require holes around the socket for mounting. They are at present top of the line.

i got the exact same problem as u mate but in my case the proc is a 1.2 AXIA it will do nicely up to 1.4 in any combination but i can't get over that.
my 5v line is 4.84 and i know that its the psu because when the comp posts at anything over 1.4gig the pitch of the fan changes
drastically. My psu is a mercury rated at 300W but i think it's the c@@p psu.
ordered an antec 350W since i've heard thet epox mobos have problems with enermax psu and i can't afford sparkles.
