Matrox 400G

I have a G400 Matrox, I like its picture quality itd really nice but, sometimes I play games, is there some kind of tweaks that I can do to make this card do some games a little faster on games? It is mounted on a PIII 700 w/256 of Ram Pls.help Thanks

Hi, nice visuals with matrox they do look good but very poor 3d performance. I still have a matrox g200 and i love the card although im running a radeon 64 vivo at the moment. I uesd to use a utility called powerstrip to O\C my matrox, it should be available on the links page with one of the D\load sites but i also think matrox had there own O\c tool available from their own web site. I tried both and I seem to remember powerstrip was the easier to use,most stable.

hope this is of some help to you its been quite a while since I O\c a matrox. also you have a PIII 700 in your system if that is an E try to O\C that, you`l probably get a better frame rate from that, I have one and its running kool at 150 fsb stockish cooling!!!! 1.050Ghz from a 700 :)

I tried Matrox own O/C tools no help there, I'll try power strip thanks. By the way my 700 can go only up to 805 after that it won't boot,probably the board its a via apollo 133. I am planning to get an Abit bx this Christmas I hope it could give me some improvements. tnx!
