How come every system I build never ever has a power connector for the system fan? No matter what motherboard, psu, or whatever, there's never a connector for this stupid sys_fan? It's driving me insane.

odd you would say that...

almost everymotherboard i have come across has a/some fan connector(s). They're usually located right next to the pwr/rst switches and pwr/hdd LEDs

If your motherboard doesn't have a 3-pin output, you can purchase a daisychain-style, 4-3 pin converter for less that 2.50$

My P5WD2-Premuim has 3 Fan Connectors on the MoBo, and I use all 3 :D One is indeed labeled "Sys_Fan"

Like 4od said - Buying Splitters and making custom harnesses are the way to go IMO. I prefer custom soldered harnesses myself... And a Fan with a Speed Control ;)
