You need to sign up for staples rewards to get free shipping on all orders. It is free, plus they will send you coupons.

I have read that people have had shipping refunded by calling them. So I say sign up and give them a call.

It will also get your order on your rewards account. If you spend more than $200 by the end of the quarter they send you a coupon for 2% of the amount you spent that quarter that you can use on anything in-store or online. I always think I'll never spend over $200 but I have twice now in the year since I signed up :)
