I made it to the top 1%

After weeks of creeping up a thousandth of a percentage point at a time, I turned in 3 more WUs today and have now completed more work than 99.000% of all SETI@home participants. Sounds pretty amazing when I use those words, so I'll just gloss over the part that there are still nearly 700,000 people ahead of me (*including 43 people on this team*)!! LOL But, it's still a milestone for me, so I'm happy! See you in the stats.

I was about to come in hooting because I just made it into the top 6% with WUs that I barely saved from my dying HD. That 1% thing puts me back in my place, though. :D

I think my math is right, here, please double-check me:

I'm in 33,928th place out of 3.4 million users. There are 20 people that are tied with me at 33,928th place. I made the assumption that, on average, there are about 20 people tied for each of the 33,927 positions ahead of me = that's about 678,000 people with more work units than me.

When you see that there are 20 people tied for 33,927 that means that there are 20 people with the same WU count as you. There are 33,927 people ahead of you, not 20 x 33,927.

I hit 95% a little bit ago, and that was probably the hardest and most long fought milestone I ever recieved! Imagine hitting the 1%!! (I wonder who is #1 of all of SETI...)

I've hit a few goals recently too: just hit 2000 wu, gotten my average under 15 hours ( 400 mhz pc's for a LONG time!), and gotten over 15 wu a day!

Still not in the Top 1% though..............yet:cool:
