Sony Vaio networking problems

Hi

My friends new sony vaio m11 has wireless network card built in. However I cannot connect to a any wireless networks that i have tried. I have also tried a external network card which works so i think its something to do with the in built network card.

does it see the APs? are you sure the wireless card is turned on?

wireless card is defo turned on and i am getting packets of information sent but not received. AP = assess point? Yeah I thought it might be something to do with this but i know nothing about them or how to change/configure them

just sorted it. thanks somuch for help. driver was corrupt for the network card. Reinstalled it and all is well
