View Full Version : img quality using detonators.
detonators r released almost every month now always improving performance a bit, which one gave u the best img quality?
has someone ever payed attention to that?
bumping!!
That's a subjective question. I always thought ATI cards looked better, but at accuracy, nvidia cards render the scene closer to what the programmers intended... this was an example.
I don't think "image quality" is a big factor with most nvidia card owners... it's usually "frame rates" that are in question...

i know most the ppl use to care a lot more about performance, its noticeable just visiting the forum. otherwise there r differences on quality of the img between the detonators and the purpose is just to know which ones ppl have thought r better. no-one will ever get a definitive one just from making the thread or reading any reply, cuz it is subjective in fact! we all know that.
it can be interesting though. i think its interesting just to know how difficult it is to get any reply for the subject.
its also a bit uncommon around here: i beleive ppl interested on this could get benefits from reading the personals choices on img quality for all the detonators versions.
btw i make my vote for the 22.50.

I guess im not in the most people catagory, to me great performance and great 2 and 3-d is what I need.
Im with Otto thinking that the 22.50 offers a good combination and the best driver at this time. I ahvent tried the 23-xx series yet and I keep contemplating getting the 8500 retail to see if it suits my needs.
Has anyone ever bought anything from packardmt@hotmail.com as he has a few items(3 Radeon 8500's retail and a TI 500 in the F/s classified section, but the last email he send me said he doesnt take Paypal and only accepts CASH.
That sent up a big red flag in my noggin......warning warning danger Will Robinson.....Danger Danger.
But seriously, if he is legit Im taking one but not if he is a troll/
Anyone know him?
12.90 would also get good score in my opinion. i remember 3d img quality was still better with it than it is using 21.81/83
