I want to preorder it but I don't know where I can get the best deal. Anyone find a good deal on it?

a brand new game is going to cost the same everywhere unless its on a sale like that same day it comes out. i seriously doubt you are going to find a preorder on sale or one that is more then $5 cheaper then everywhere else because one of the whole points to a sale is to get rid of excess merchandise. if your willing to preorder it even before it comes out that’s not one of their worries, is it ;)

yeah I think I pre-ordered mine in Sept or Oct... I'm going to EBGames for mine they going to do a frozen Midnight release...yeah baby...lol

I hope it's not to cold...lol b/c the EBGames here is in the mall & they close at 9pm & mall won't let them stay open late so they going to bring in an RV and do it outside in the parking lot.lol

though I'm hoping the tuesday maint. will be past that day b/c of the "I WANT TO FREAKING PLAY BC NOW DAMNIT!" Frenzy of the masses....lol

btw depending on your area you may wish to pre-order it...b/c when WoW came out it was sold out all over town when it originally came out for people who didn't pre-order it...also I think like 20 people who did pre-order it late at my EBGames didn't get one b/c of short supply they had or some such...but they had another shipment in the next day.

and you can bet your buttox that with now 7 Million World Wide Subscribers there is going to be a very quick sell out of it...so best to be safer then sorry & have to wait to get into Outland ;)

Same.

Back into the same pit of addiction once school is over. All-day WoW sessions, all-night raids, leveling an alt while getting my main fully geared out, listening to my whole music library while playing, gnerally relaxing, getting fat as I sit in my room playing WoW.

You know, the usual.

How do you guys feel about some of the new gear? Like a lvl 64 green that beats netherwind chest?

I dunno, i'm kinda bummed that some noob who plays more than me is going to be able to essentially grab better gear then the crap i slaved away in BWL/AQ40/Naxx for.

I'm a 60 Human Priest on Frostmane btw.

I personally do not like the move. Blizzard pretty much wiped everything we have been working for in the past 2 years and put everyone one the same level playing field. The decision seems to have benefit casual players more than the nightly raiders. It gives them a chance to catch up. I don't really like it, but if the decision gets more people playing the game, then in the end I will like it.

If you look at TBC as a whole, it looks like blizz took this time to fix everything they ****ed up in the past 2 years. I personally think a lot of the changes are risky ones. I hope they work out in the long run.

Those in BWL/Naxx etc will progress far faster than any other people in the new content.

And as far as gear, while there are some impressive items in green, I have yet to see anything that I would break my tier 2 set for.

Sure there may be something with a point or two more agi or ap on it, but I wont give up all the other stats just for an extra ap.

Also I like the idea of new gear, if its better its better. If you give a level 60 nub a full set of tier 2 or better, it doesn't change a thing. Some people think it wrong of me, but I have taken gold to do other hunters bow quest for them. All they get is a few more paper doll dps, not the experience or skills that are supposed to come from the task.

Have you played on test? I haven't, but I have 3 RL friends who play on test. The three of them have replaced a majority of their T2/2.5 by level 65.

I'm kind of screwed, I have basically a half-set of shadow gear for when the time rolls around to start leveling again...hmmm....

I think i'm just going to crash a few BWL parties, get all the gear I need, and then jump into the new content in full swing.

Also, start saving those AQ40 tokens, they give XP, so it's a pretty good jump IMO if you want to start now.

I believe I read something by a blue post that will not allow you to do that. I could be wrong.

I personally get a kick out of it whenever I read some raider complaining b/c for a week or so things will be more on an equal playing field with those of us who don't have the endless hours to play this & raid 6 or 7 days a week...

Who cares after a week or 2 or 3 of raiding you guys will again have the upper hands...

look at it this way...would you rather not have any gear upgrades at all, that they keep everything the same? I think not...as with any new higher lvl instance or zone there will be better rewards & drops that is the way of things...it's not a waste that you have been to naxx etc & gotten awesome gear there as you will be better equip'd to kick some butt in outland then people with no endgame gear at all...until they can get some decent drops from grinding in outland...until raiders are able to start raiding again in the new areas...

so don't worry you'll soon be able to wave your cyber pen0rs around with all your epic gear glory again shortly...
