Unless those are canadian dollors or something that is a seriously bad deal. You should be able to get either one for under $120 USD.

I agree though, if you can go for the XP

O boy, easy one, XPXPXPXPXP. Xp 1500 for 108 on pricewatch, but the 1700 is only 20 bucks more, worth it imo. They faster, cooler, and did I mention faster? 250 dollars, you must be canadian or something, or your calculator is broken, hehe.

XP, as my exitable fellow members above all agree.

Why?

Because XP's run faster and cooler (up to 20%) than T-birds. My XP1500 (1.33GHz) is running at 1.5GHz at the mo, simply by upping the FSB to 150, from 133. A 2C rise in CPU temp has been noted, so I'm running fine at 42C just now!

If you buy any AMD CPU, get a decent cooler.

Alpha PAL 8045 or a Glaciator 2 at least.......
