Ive been experiencing a problem with my DSL net connection, When I leave UTorrent running and switch users to connect to the net on another account the account running UTorrent disconnects. Also when my account running UTorrent is left idle and it goes to the logon screen when I log back in my net connection has been disconnected.
Is this a standard windows procedure with connections or accounts that appear idle and is there any way to prevent it?
thanks

Im not sure, Is this under power options in control panel, I cant seem to find anything relating to NIC there, btw my means of connecting to the net are a USB DSL modem.

it should still have an ethernet port. I have yet to see a high speed modem that does not.

couple things to try.. just delete if it doesnt work.
1.Open Regedit
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
3. Then right-click the right-hand pane, select New/String Value.
4. Name the value KeepRasConnections and set it to 1.
also:
1. Right click My Computer Icon
2. Select Properties ---- Hardware ----- Device Manager
3. Expand USB Controllers
4. /Double Click USB Root Hub. Select Power Management and uncheck, Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power.
ill keep searching for more but its a start ... :D
