View Full Version : Help! Can't get rid of n?lookup.exe
I have ran hijack this, I removed it from there. I have deleted it from my hdd. I have ran ad aware and spybot (also tea timer) and removed any association with it.
HOWEVER I still have this come up every 5 minutes or so!
I used process explorer but the location is not found in windows. I tried using the command prompt to delete, but can't do that as well.
Anyone know how to get rid of it ?
I dont know right out of hand. I would try dependency walker here and fire the .exe into it and see what you get

I use symantec 9.0.3
scan engine 61.3.0
updated definition
scan of computer finds nothing wrong.
I can see the program in process explorer, but not in ctrl + alt + del
i did not enable beta downloads in spybot, will try now.
i cannot find that file name when searching my computer.
Go to Run and type in MSconfig and see if its still in there. Don't know how to remove it but I would like to know if its still in your start up.
nope its not in my startup, however i solved one problem, but another one still exists.
I booted in safe mode. Did a system search and looked for all the files that was created on the day before I got the virus. Deleted all the files since that date.
Now the exe don't load anymore but I still get ad pop ups...
