Im trying to find the answer to this if anyone knows that would be great. Im trying to figure out how Blu-ray has a higher capacity than HD DVD...they both use blue lasers and both lasers have a width of 405nm....so I'm assuming it's not the laser pick up thats giving them more capacity...must be something in the disc?
Edit: Ok apparently Blu-ray has a thinner coating which allows them to pack more data..somehow must be a focal point issue with the laser or something.
