About 6 am should do but that might be overkill

Do you know how many they are getting? 6am should be good, but if there aren't a lot, then I'd definitely get there no later than 6:30.

ps- shame I don't live near you, I want to pick one up, but they are all out around here. I'll probably just buy one off a friend for a little more than he paid.

Just show up at 8am with a gun like others do :) just kidding, please do not do that!! :)

Is there still that big of a demand that you should need to show up early?

Every shipment I've heard about recently here has a nice sized line prior to opening... or it sells out within an hour.

NOThelagak - Just wear a warm coat and bring a book with you. 2 hours wait isn't that bad for a wii.

It is when it was like 10 degrees F here this morning at 8am. Screw that, I can wait a few months to get one.

Fudge, I'm pretty sure that the TRU here in St. Kittysburg still has Wii consoles.

I'll give them a call after work tonight. It's worth driving an hour (round trip) to get one. Heck, I've ran to Buffalo to get stuff before.

I got in line at my local Target at 7:30 for a 8:00 openning and was #45 of the 55 systems they had. Had to go to Gamestop for an extra wii-mote though, still no component video cables though :(

www.ps3seeker.com/wii this has been pretty accurate so far.

Whenever I was waiting on mine I was there for 4 hours, but people showed up right whenever the store opened and still got one so yeh never know until yeh get there. 6 would probably be the best time though.

I've got friends working at a video game store in Chicago (a guy and a girl. happy, wii-playing, couple) so I could probably have them get me one. Then there is a midnight sale on the Wii here in Paris at the Virgin Megastore on the Champs Elysees on Thursday night (it's actually "Wii Day" and they have a whole day of nintendo entertainment planned.) So I could probably get one there. Then nobody has started ordering the thing online either so I could also get one that way.

All-in-all I don't think there should be any problem with anybody on EARTH getting a Wii. Though I would only get one either on that midnight thing or if somebody gave me one for a present. I just like the rush :)

That's because you don't realize the incredible amount of demand for these things :-p. They've shipped ~ 800 thousand by now, and darn near every one has sold :-p

Had to work a little late, called the store on Meadowview before going home and they said they haven't had them since the first day they sold out. Went home and watched Heroes. I'll have to wait to get my Nintendo fix. NHL 2K on the 360 is keeping me busy right now. They made Eddie Belfour suck, so I traded him for Paul Kariya. :)

also, i heard the guy i was talkin to explain the same thing to 4 different ppl on the phone in just the 10 minutes i was in there.... so i dunno. im thinking midnight, get some beers and sit in my car till i see someone else lining up.

Now I would say to get there as early as you can (not midnight... you can get there as late as 4am and probably be fine), get your ticket at 6am, and then take a nap until 8:30. The nap is important, because I'm sure you'll end up playing with your wii until the wii-hours of the morning, and you'll need all the sleep you can get.

ok, got it! i called another walmart and they said ppl were already lined up at 7 so i went to mine, hung out for an hour and kept checked outside, and at 8 the line started so i jumped in. #3 (gf was #4) i stood out there and bs'd with ppl and got drunk for 11 hours, then the manager came out and was a jerk and threatened not to give ANY of us tickets if we didnt like the way he was doing it. so we finally got the tickets at 7 then we still had to wait outside till 8 (even tho the store was open.) cause if the manager came out and did a line check and the ppl with tickets wernt there, he said hed give the next person teh spot. then at 8 he let us come in, and sold em. my gf bought one for some lady, and she bought us zelda for the trouble (she was plannin on stayin wiht me either way, so why not) so, anyways.... its sweet ive been pl;ayin the dang thing all day, and im super tired. great. btw: anyone know where the heck to find another wiimote???? they are sold out EVERYWHERE

Well congrats, that manager sounds like the manager at the Wal-Mart that I went to whenever I got my Wii though. It was a 24/7 one and they made us wait outside and called the cops on us because they didn't like it that we were outside of the store. We just called the Wal-Mart headquarters though and reported her, 8 of us did it so that might have gotten through to them. But anyway congrats on the new system.
