What should be the ideal temperature for an athlon processor 1.5 ghz.
Normally it is 53 degrees and at high processing it goes upto 59- 60 degrees.
Is the above normal, or should i put another fan for cooling?
thanx:)

wooo. Definitely need some more/better cooling. You don't want to have it go above 50c at FULL LOAD. Is it oc'd or an XP chip? What hs/f do you have right now. Do you have ASII on? Also, some more specifics about your system will help. What do you have and what brands etc. What kind of case cooling do you have?
Mine starts to act funny around 56c. 55c and lower is rock stable! ]-[itman's right, you really don't want to run around 60c if you can help it!

60C is your limit when you're using the insocket thermistor. If you actually have an accurate method of checking the temp of the core (ie you have a thermistor *on* the core...one that you placed, nothing stock...) then you can go to 70C.
