any way to make this support 1.2" tubing?

it comes with smaller fittings, can I buy seperate larger ones? Will that hurt performance if those tubes connecting the res to the adapors are that small?

1.2 inches is somewhat large...
However, if that's a typo... Then it may be possible to find 1/2 inch fittings, or re-tap the threads to accept 1/2 inch fittings.

you could tap it for bigger threads.

It doesn't even come with threaded ports. The barbs are molded into the reservoir.

I do like the look of the Thermaltake res. I'd be tempted to cut off the molded barbs and drill and tap the holes for 1/2" Hi-flo's or EK's.

I highly doubt that the walls of any bay-res will be thick enough to hold a 18 or 19 count thread.

Cut the molded bars off. drill a hole large enough for the 1/2" threaded barbs, then get a plastic nut for the inside of the tank. Then use O-rings or rubber washers to make it water tight.
