I've been reading that Vista will make AMD X2's more competitive against Core 2 Duo's. The logic is that Vista will be able to take advantage of the intergrated memory controllers on the AMD X2's and be able to feed the CPU's better under full load. Is there any truth to this? Any one hear anything about this?

I only had my X2 for a month in XP before I moved to Vista, I never benched it, but I really dont see a diffrence. Maybe it is working faster, but I cant see it cause that extra speed is eaten by the Vista bloat. I would assume that Vista would use Dual/Quad core CPUs better than XP, I havent heard of a AMD patch for Vista like the one for XP.
