Hi people!
I am trying to send a large video, about few hundred megabytes, to someone...(using a 512kbps broadband internet connection)
I wanted to know what i should use to send it!!
it certainly is not email!! so, what is it? ftp?
Any software i can use to resume the upload, if it was interrupted? something like getright?
or rather...anyway i can make my pc act as a server, and HE, doewnoads from me? and use getright or something?! will my server be able to resume downloads?
thanks! enlighten me plz!!!

I use a program called Serv-U to set up a ftp server. It is easy to use and works well.

You could also send the file through Peer To Peer software such as Gnutella or even a Instant messenger such as AIM, ICQ or even IRC as some 'chat' software such as mIRC have the ability to send and share files.
All in all however FTP would be the fastest solution, however for security reasons, I would get your friend to set his PC up as a server and upload the file rather than allowing him to download

oh right...i get it now.
ammm...but how about the resuming part??
anyway i can resume? i don't want to send the few hundred megabyte file again, when it fails at 98%!!!
and....wouldn't downloading be faster??
