SO i got a rubbermaid shroud on my chevette core with a radio shack A/c fan, really good, but the thing is i usually turn it off when i turn my computer off and sometimes forget to turn it on when i turn the computer on *thus overheats*.. i think i ruined my pd 805 so i got a nice e6400 now.

But i want to just stick a d/c fan on there so it comes on with the computer with no worries. what is the typical size ? is it 120mm?

120mm should fit perfectly, just make sure you have a good plan for mounting it.

also, do you have an open 3-pin male connector? if not, make sure to purchase a 4-3pin adaptor.

BTW, what are you gunna do with the pentium d? i'll buy it cheap for experimental purposes if you don't want it anymore... *Mad Scientist Cackle*
