I just picked up a copy of Splinter Cell Double Agent. I'm a little confused on the performance of this game on my computer. I'm running dual Opteron 240's and 2 7800GT in SLI. In single player mode fisher moves like a snail and all the actions seem very slow. I know this is a stealth game but I'd think the old man could be a little more responsive. I started multi player mode and the game seams to run everything at what looks like a normal pace. I have tried putting everything on low and play @ 640x480 but the game still crawls in single player mode! Game runs pretty much the same with all the pretty options @ 1024x768 I figure it should at least look pretty if I'm going to be playing single player in so motion!

Anyone else experience this problem? I would really like to play through the single player missions. Although the multiplayer modes looks like it should add plenty of replay to this game!

use your scroll button on your mouse and push it all the way up(controlls how fast his pace) that might be your problem. The game is very buggy but great game.

Runs pretty crappy on my setup. I also get crash to the desktop once and awhile. I'm looking forward to patch that actually fixes some of the more important issues.

all else fails you can try a re-install to see if it changes anything

Did a re-install and that didn't seem to help at all.

However, when I disable SLI, and set the CPU afinity to a single CPU the game runs fine! I hope they get some patches out soon for this game.

Im actually wondering how much of my difficulty in playing the game is lag based and how much is I have never played that game before...

(Im running a single 7600GS)

Apparently SLI is an issue in the game. surprising since its so new...

This game is as good as Chaos Theory I take it?

Not according to reviews.

The multiplayer especially apparantly is completely different. No more coop missions, instead you do the Spies VS Mercs against overpowered CPU enemies. And that mode itself has been downgraded.

Does the 360 version still have CO-OP?
