I have an EVGA 7950 GT KO.

I also have found the Bios for the EVGA 7950 GT KO Superclock version.

I was wondering, does anyone know if the Superclocked bios do anything more than raise the clocks?

Does it also up the voltage?

I've already replaced the stock cooling on the card, so I don't think temps will be a prob.

DOes it also "Loosen up the timings" to get the faster clockrates?

I have used Riva tuner to clock it up ti 680 / 800, but it's just not stable enough to run long games at that settings.

I backed it down to 670 / 780 and it runs perfectly at that speed...

ANyone know more about the Superclocked version?

Thanks

damn how are you gettting your core that high? are you v modding it?

No vmods done at all...

that was why I was wondering if the superclocked version ups the voltage..

I can run 3DMark 05 as 680 / 800 and it scores 11849

However if I play F.E.A.R. at those settings I have videop probs after a while..

If I run 670/ 780 I can run F.E.A.R. all day ..not a single glitch.

I was hoping that the superclocked version added voltage...it would give me a chance to run 680/800 all the time.

Here is a link to my results

just open the bios with nibitor and see if the voltage can be raised! if it can then raise it and flash it!

the voltage cannot be raised in nibitor, it looks like it will be able to but it doesnt, it can only raise the 2d voltage to the 3d voltage, im sure theres a pencil mod or something, but you cant flash your bios to make ur vcore run higher, and 680/800 are some DAMN good clocks for stock voltage.

Thanks..

So what your saying is that I should be happy with what I got?

WOW..Must be a good chip..because it was my first attempt!

If that thing can be pen volt modded like the 7900's then you should get 750 out of that core easy. That's a extremely high clock for a 7900 given I've had 3 7900gt's and the highest one did 625 at stock
