I am confused about the PIII Tualatin.......does it need a special chipset? Can I run it on a i440bx mobo that pushes 133 fsb?

If not, then pIII copper is my top end, I think. Thanks!

Cat,

I understand you're Tualatin aspirations...the .13 micro chip is certainly a beast aspecially in 512k L2 S configurations.. but they need a special chipset namely..Intel 815ep or Via Apollo Pro 266t or 133t..I don't know is Silicon Integrated Systems or Acer Labs Inc. has any chipset out..but they are needed because of the different socket 370 pinout name FCPGA2 and the lower Vcore to the chip as well. Good luck.. I recommend the Dual Tualatin board by Iwill the DVD266u-rn..it toasts...

Nope I guess ASUS hacked together a 815e board called ther TUSL2. So I guess you can run a Tualatin on a 815e chipset:shrugs: Not sure how well though. Seesm powerleap needs to run their chip at 1.32v instead of default on the slocket adapter they made. Not sure why though.

It is not the TUSL2-c. Not sure how it is since I don;t like the TUSL2-c I doubt I would like the TUSL2 also.
