I'm on my 2nd Slot A cpu... this one is a Tbird core..

7.5x100...

the weird thing is on both cpu's at any mulitplier including and above stock, (didn't try less) my fsb wont go more than 107-108 stable... anything higher freezes in windows, and much higher wont post...

well for some weird weird reason... when I unlocked it..
I got upto 9.5x100... but I can't put it up past 102-103...
but at 9x I could go all the way upto 117!!!
9x117=1053
I've never had it even post near that..
so now I have 9x117 @ 2 volt.... tho it's not 2 volts.. cuz there's a +.05 at all voltages on my board...

but at 8.5x my bus is stuck at 106-107...

so why the heck is it more than double now??

oh check out theses voltages according to MBM5

core=2.08 (I set it at 2)
3.3=3.38
+5=+5.03
-5=-5.44
+12=12.34
-12=-12.60

are they supposed to go that far out of wack?
or is my system a bomb ready to blow?
:p :p

Those voltages look very very nice! They are all (at least a bit, some of them) over what they are supposed to be. As for the sweet spot, I'd say that you hit one. I don't know why, but does it really matter? ;)

Good job!

Ottoman>> Real nice overclock!

What PSU do u have?? Ur Volts are pretty high, that's cool.

BTW: What are your temps?

thanx guys..

dunno why it's like this..
maybe my mobo is awry..

I'm waiting on an Abit KA7... and gonna do some ocing with that see if I can get it better...

my PSU is a Enermax 350W ATX Power Supply EG365P-VE

I've 1 120mm, 1 92, 3 80mm, and the HSF fan, plus the 2 fans in the power supply....

my temps I'm not exactly sure cuz I don't have on die...
but there's one right next to the hsf.... dunno if it touches..

but in MBM5.. my cpu temp reads 35. and my chassis temp reads 31.... but I have my case open since I don't have a dremel to cut...

I was playing around with a K6-380 on an Asus board the other day, and over spec, it didn't seem to like any of the .5 multipliers, only the whole ones, bizzareness!
