whats the "hierarchy" for radeon's cards in terms of performance?

would it be:

#4 - x1900gt @256mb
#3 - x1650 pro @512mb
#2 - x1800gto @256
#1 - x1950 pro @ 256

or are the 1950 and 1900 like #1 and #2? assuming both are running at stock speeds and all other system specs the same.

my second question is, how would a GF 7900GS rank with the top card there? im assuming the radeon cards are ddr3 and the GF card is ddr2. does that matter as of right now with current games? from what i've been reading, the x1950 trumps the 7900GS at stock but the 7900GS has an edge when overclocked. would it be safe to assume that or is it all crap?
and what say ye on overall x1950 stability with intel e6300? (or am i imagining things on stability issues)

thanks to anyone.

i ordered an eVGA from newegg wondering if that was a mistake

*edit*
i found my answer about the 'hierarchy' of the cards, but if you can please touch on the other questions.
thanks

yes 1950, 1900 # 1 & 2, the 7900hs has 256bit mem as well gpu 480 ram is 400 so... you would have to oc it quite a bit to come close to the performance. so i would say no edge.

think of it, the 1950 has 100mhz (2ghz mem) and the 7900gs has 660(1320mhz mem). cores... 640 on the 1950 and 480 on the 79gs.

I can't find a review, I did find a card that claimed to be an MSI 7900GS with DDR2 on froogle, but it claimed to have 1350Mhz memory which makes me think it was a misprint. DDR2 cards (barring the first model of 256MB 9800Pro) have always tended to suck in almost all games because the memory is usually clocked very slowly.

There will be no stability issues using an ATI card with an Intel CPU, some boards don't like certain cards (ATI and Nvidia) but you would be no more likely to have problems than if you were using a Radeon in an ATI board with an AMD CPU.

besides overclocking is there a strong reason that one may choose 1950 pro over 7900gs? is it safe to say "if you're not overclocking get the 1950 pro but if you tend to overclock get the 7900gs?" would that be the basis to choose one over the other?

heavy gaming is the usage with some video editing and such as secondary

and thanks for the reply

i guess. but....if your concerned about the prices.. a 1950pro rangers from about $199 - $270 on new egg. and the 7900gs go for about $185 - $225. and if you get the 79--gs and plan to oc you may as well get the 1950 since you plan on ocing "something" anyway.
