You came here for information, and thats a great first move.
SSS Especially is great at letting you know when a company is worthless. And I will tell you right now that the price you posted is just for the monitor. IF it isnt then its totally fake.
It would behove you to to either post a link to the product or to PM someone who can help you (if it is an ebay buy it now you are unsure of and dont want to lose it) then PM someone who has no money like me.
I wont reiterate, unlessits a stock deal, you have purchased already and then I would post it in cyber deals. But there is a few great tools you can use if you are unsure of hte price yourself.
BBB, resellerratings, and heck... just google (ask, jeeves whatever) the company name to find out if they are legitimate. But more importantly if you find something you think is too good to be true...
a) it is
b) what you think might no longer be the case.. .prices may have dropped
EDIT: Wow I took too long to type.. sorry.
EDIT EDIT: In a case like this... you have to look at the most expensive component and decide if its worth what they say is the asking price. Figure out what hte goign price is (MAYBE 200 dolalrs.. I saw a 19" 5ms widescreen onsale for 189? at newegg) and if the rest of the system is worht 300 dollars to you) Price it out. Remebe that, anything you get from dell is no name. so compare it to the cheapest item you can find elsewhere. Although TBH the cheapest single item yo ucan find elsewhere will probably be better then a dell oem. (fer instance mobo, but more specifically.. RAM and PSU)
Too me... no its not worth it.
but.. I would rather spend 100-200 more and get something good. (not pre built)
Oh and dont consider the OS part of the price.. because you know you cant transfer a Dell OS right?

if you get all that for 499 id say yes its a good deal. down the road you can easily buy a new mobo to start overclocking. id say go for it.
