Hello again,

I'm having troubles with my system, the one in my sig. Windows got corrupted, PFN_List Corrupt, IRQL less or equal errors, etc.
I think I have narrowed it down to the motherboard or the ram. I ran Memtest and on test#8 I get errors, many, many errors with both sticks in.
If I run one stick at a time they will pass but not both together. The memory is GSkill 2x1 Gb ddr500.
The fact that they will pass seperately but not together makes me think it might be the motherboard but I'm unsure, that's why I'm asking you guys.:D

One more thing I just thought of. When the ram was first put into the motherboard it would default to 3-5-5-10 when set to auto. The actual timing of the ram is 3-4-4-8. Now when I reset the bios it defaults to 3-4-4-8 instead. Could that be because the ram is bad?

Thanks and Ill keep checking back to see what you think.

does it get errors at both 3-4-4-8 and 3-5-5-10?
do they work together fine in a separate motherboard?

Yeah, I get errors at either timing. I also tried to run them at 200 Mhz instead of their rated 250 and they fail even at that speed.
I don't have another motherboard or different ram to test.
GSkill has a lifetime warranty but if I send it to them and it turns out to be good they will just send it back.

Are you running 1T or 2T? I had a similar problem at 1T, always failed test 8 . Turned out to be my vdimm voltage, once I bumped up the volts a little the problem was fixed.

Well, I ran that ram at 2.65 volts and 1T setting for about 8 months without a problem. When I started having problems I tested it at 1T with higher and lower voltages and it refused to pass test #8. So... I tested it at 2T with 2.65 volts and it still failed. I then tested each stick at 2T and they passed individually but they will not run in dual channel at any setting.
I have decided to send the ram back but my main purpose was to ask you guys if you thought it could possibly be my motherboards sudden inability to handle dual channel for some reason.
