Took jiverty's advice to turn a non-standard ebook into a pdf using pdfcreator. Problem is, my system crashes after spooling 70 pages, so with a 160 page book, I need to make 3 pdfs (combination of the ebook program using 700mb ram and more - memory leak - and the print spooler taking up 1gb+). Can you join pdfs?

In Acrobat Professional 7, under the Document menu there's an option to "Insert Pages". I've never used PDF creator, but I would imagine it should have the same functionality.

PDF creator will also combine PDF's...I just tried it :)

  1. Just open PDF Creator
  2. Click Document > ADD
  3. Change the "Files of type" from .PS to *.*
  4. Select the 1st PDF file
  5. The PDF Creator screen will popup, Click the "WAITING" button
  6. Then do the same for each file you want to join
  7. Then you will have all the files in the PDF creator screen
  8. Highlight all of them, click Document > Combine
  9. It will now show just one file in the list.
  10. Now hit Document > Print
  11. When the print screen pops up, hit SAVE
  12. Choose a filename and location and save it

Voila! ;)
