You would get a much better response in the "Intel CPU" section.

In the meantime, I would suggest that you see if you have any options for increasing the FSB. There are also programs out there that will let you change the FSB while in Windows.

Again I suggest that you take this to the "Intel CPU" section, they are much more familiar in this area than most of us are over here.

Dell is very Intel friendly with heavy emphasis on VERY. They use Intel motherboards and supports their stand against overclocking. Increase in frontside bus is about the only way. Even changing the motherboard can prove negative depending on what proprietary parts are installed.

yea, sorry bout the intel in the amd section, im just used to talking about my tbird......what are some of the programs i can use in windows to overclock, cause i have real good ram

I had the best results with my 450 MHz @ 556 MHz, and less than stellar results with my 500 MHz @ 512 MHz (hardly worth the effort). Success will depend on your CPU (some are more successful than others), as well as your PLL, which you'll need to find on your mobo. If you need help, let me know.
